The 2018 championships span four locations and multiple categories, making this one of the more comprehensive modeling efforts we've done for a domestic racing event. The pro ITT in Knoxville is the marquee event, but the Vail Pass-adjacent collegiate and masters courses in Grand Junction offer their own unique challenges — riders who underestimate the altitude penalty on power output often pay for it in the final kilometers.
