Stage 11 (Wednesday, July 12th)

Eymet to Pau

The tour heads towards the base of the Pyrenees with a 203.5 km trip from Eymet to Pau. The course is primarily a false flat all the way to Morlaas at 189.5 km, for the last 10 km it turns to a false flat downhill to Pau. It should be another day for the sprinters, but the weather may play spoiler.

Weather Forecast

Weather should be mild but with the north south course direction the wind will be a cross for the entirety of the course. In this part of France the wind can pickup quickly so watch for echelons and multiple breaks.

Stage Analysis

This is a flat stage but the cross wind could make it really tricky for the sprint teams to organize. If a break can get a few minutes it could be hard to organize and chase them down especially with the Pyrenees looming. If the wind really picks up Sky will be on the look out for any cagey moves by Aru or Uran, though it's unlikely any such move would catch Froome by surprise.
