Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines to Paris Champs-Élysées
Stage 21 / Sunday, July 23rd
The grand finale of the 2023 Tour de France is a 115km journey from Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines to the iconic Champs-élysées in Paris. The stage commences at France's national velodrome, transitioning from a leisurely procession to a high-speed spectacle as the peloton hits the cobbles of the Champs-élysées. The race concludes with eight adrenaline-fueled laps of nearly 7km each, setting the stage for a thrilling sprint finish. Past victors on this prestigious stage include sprinting legends such as Mark Cavendish, Marcel Kittel, André Greipel, and more recently, Wout van Aert and Jasper Philipsen. The Champs-élysées, named after the Greek mythological Elysium, the final resting place of heroic souls, provides a fitting backdrop for the culmination of this monumental cycling event. This stage is the ultimate sprint finish for those vying the final honor of closing our the Tour.
