This year the tour added two shorter mountain stages which should add quite a bit of excitement for fans. At only 108.5 km this is the second shortest non time trial stage of the race. Look for breaks from the very beginning with pure climbers wanting the mountaintop glory into La Rosière. With many more days of climbing and an iconic stage on the horizon in Stage 12 the GC riders will most likely mark each other but avoid big moves. If however someone tries to break early, especially from a team with multiple potential leaders, watch for fireworks. Get additional Data-Driven Coverage of the Tour on TrainingPeaks.
